This is the website for another school, this time a primary school in the south of France. Although the children at this French school are younger than your own pupils, this site features reports on several different classe verte trips made over recent years, which are written in reasonably straightforward language too. It's become a slightly complicated route to the classe verte reports - now you have to click on the large window at the top of the house, then on the link to "CM 1 M. Fillacier", followed by either the link to his class of 1996-97 or 1997-98. Both of these contain accounts of classe verte trips to various parts of France along with photographs taken during the expeditions. Seeing as the path to these reports is slightly torturous, you might want to help guide your pupils to the correct pages. Also, the second part of our online activity asks them to find another classe verte report, and depending on how clearly these are currently posted you might again help pupils find the relevant page.

This website is for the Centre International de Rencontre hostel in Albertville, host for the 1992 Winter Olympic games. The hostel offers accomodation in particular for school groups on classe verte style trips to the region, which boasts many natural attractions and old traditions that make it ideal for this kind of expedition. The fusée exercise looks at the classe verte from the opposite angle this time therefore, covering similar ground to Unit 8 in the features and rooms of the hostel, before focusing on the different activities offered in the region around Albertville (under the "les Scolaires" menu on the left side of the homepage). To find out more about any of the topics in this section, click on "En Savoir +" on the right - this will bring up a separate window about that feature. The vocabulary in these reports is tricky, so you might want to give some guidance.

There are also several other interesting parts of the CIR website, such as "Séjours sportifs" and "Tourisme des jeunes" that give alternative things to do and see in the Albertville region.
